Trevor Bauer Submits Suit Against Woman Who Made Sexual Assault Claim

Trevor Bauer, the Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, has submitted a suit against Lindsey Hill, a woman from San Diego who claimed that he sexually assaulted her last year. The Dodgers pitcher announced the suit almost three months following the remark of the LA District Attorney that his office would not submit criminal charges against him.

The lawsuit not only seeks a trial by jury but also names the accuser and her attorney Fred Thiagarajah. Bauer has accused Hill of stating inaccurate things to media people.

As per the lawsuit, the motives of Hill for making those statements are clear. She wished to destroy the baseball career and reputation of Bauer while drawing attention to herself and extracting millions of US dollars from the baseball player.

As per documents from this lawsuit, in her pursuit of a restraining order for domestic violence, Hill omitted conversations with the Dodgers pitcher and medical files that were not consistent with her injury claims. The lawsuit adds that the word set up was part of the browsing history of Hill.

Her lawyers are also named in this lawsuit, as the baseball player claims that they gave TMZ photographs from the recent investigation and thus violated a restraining order.

As per the lawsuit, the accuser and her lawyers were part of an attempt to not only further smear Bauer’s reputation but also confirm that her fabricated story got as much media exposure as possible. They made that attempt after getting the temporary protective order from the court. During the attempt, one of Hill’s lawyers violated a protective order that limited the disclosure of some of those files by sharing photos from the Pasadena Police Department (PPD) with TMZ.

Bauer and Hill met twice and claimed that they had agreed to perform rough sex. Last June, Hill was granted the order after she alleged that Bauer not only struck her face, vagina and buttocks but also choked her until she lost consciousness. Bauer denied all those allegations.

As per Bauer, after his second encounter with Hill, they had intercourse and spent the rest of the night together. Bauer also said that after that night, Hill looked unlike the photographs of her that feature her bruises on the body. He added that there were clear boundaries between him and Hill and that the latter repeatedly agreed to intercourse.

The Dodgers pitcher discussed the allegations and the LA District Attorney’s choice to not press charges against him in a YouTube video entitled ‘The Truth’.

In that video, Bauer said that he has watched several people make premature conclusions on the basis of much misinformation and many false claims circulated without any corroboration. He also stated that he has not still waivered his version of the events as those constitute the truth. He also accused the woman of materially misleading the court.

The season of the LA Dodgers started in April 2022. However, Bauer is yet to play for the team since Major League Baseball (MLB) has prolonged his temporary leave from the job until April 29, 2022, at the least. The man has not been playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers since the start of his leave last July.

Last year, the baseball team signed the player to a three-year contract worth $102 million, the highest annual contract in MLB.
